The Museum is made up of two buildings: the purpose-built museum building and the historic Howe House, which has been fitted out with furnishings and displays that reflect its many uses over the past 200 years.

The museum offers interesting exhibitions, including RAAF exhibits that showcase the area's important Air Force history.
